Des travaux prévus pour le lavoir de Beauvais -
Saint-Thomas-de-Courceriers

Cette année, l'association «ensemble pour l'environnement et le patrimoine» de Saint-Thomas prévoit de remettre en état, à l'ancienne, le lavoir à Beauvais en partenariat avec la commune et la restauration de statues. Un concert de saxophone est prévu en avril. Jean Le Guiffand, le président de l'association, a dirigé l'assemblée générale et a rappelé les différentes actions menées.

L'année 2009 a été positive, les travaux de rénovations de la chapelle des Rues sont presque terminés, grâce aux bénévoles de l'association, qui ont apporté leur aide selon leurs possibilités. Les finances sont positives et Michel Turmeau, maire de la commune était présent à l'assemblée, il a été remercié pour la première subvention que la commune a versée.

L'association compte 35 adhérents. Le bureau est reconduit : Jean Le Guiffand, président; Patrice Lefeuvre, vice-président; Raymond Chevallier, trésorier; Margareth Roberts, adjointe; Sonia Critchley, secrétaire. Eddy Wade, est le nouveau membre du conseil d'administration.



Work planned for the old laundry at Beauvais -
Saint-Thomas-de-Courceriers

This year, the Association Ensemble pour l'Environnement et le Patrimoine of Saint-Thomas plans to restore the former old laundry at Beauvais, in partnership with the commune and the restoration of statues. A saxophone concert is scheduled for April. Jean Le Guiffand, president of the assoc-iation, led the meeting and presented the the recent activities.

The year 2009 was positive, the renovation of the Chapelle des Rues is nearing completion, thanks to the association's volunteers, who have assisted according to their potential. Finances are positive and Michel Turmeau, mayor of the commune was present at the meeting, he was thanked for the first grant that the commune has provided.

The association has 35 members. The Board members are Jean Le Guiffand, President; Patrice Lefeuvre, Vice-President, Raymond Chevallier, Treasurer. Margaret Roberts is Deputy Treasurer and Sonia Critchley is Secretary. Eddy Wade is the newest member of the board of directors.

L'association "Ensemble pour l'Environnement et le Patrimoine de Saint Thomas" a tenu son assemblée générale vendredi 15 janvier en présence d'une vingtaine de personnes, dont le maire, M. Turmeau et Marie-Cécile Morice, conseillère générale.

Au bilan 2009 : travaux à la chapelle des rues, repas gaulois et feu de la Saint-Jean, réouverture du chemin de la Thébauderie, de celui du Hallier en novembre, suivi d'un pique-nique au gîte de M. et Mme Chauvet à Beauvais, avec une trentaine de participants.

L'association qui compte 31 adhérents (soit plus de 10 % en un an), bénéficie d'une subvention de la mairie. Au nombre de ses projets 2010 : la réfection de l'ancien lavoir à Beauvais, la pose d'une nouvelle fenêtre à la chapelle, concert de saxophones à l'église en avril, aide financière à la rénovation des calvaires et repas de la Saint-Jean le 26 juin.

Bureau, les trois sortants sont réélus : Sonia Critchley secrétaire, Margaret Roberts trésorière-adjointe, Raymond Chevallier trésorier. Un dixième membre est élu : Eddy Wade. Le président est Jean Le Guiffant, le vice-président, Patrice Lefeuvre.
The Association "Ensemble pour l'Environnement et le Patrimoine de Saint Thomas" held its Annual General Meeting on Friday, 15th January in the presence of about twenty people, including the Mayor, M Turmeau and Marie-Cécile Morice, General Counsel.

In the Accounts for 2009 were : work on la Chapelle des Rues, the Gallic meal and bonfire of Saint-Jean, the reopening Thébauderie footpath and that of Hallier in November, which was followed by a picnic at the gîte of M. and Mme. Chauvet at Beauvais, with about thirty participants.

The association has 31 members (up more than 10% in a year), supported by a grant from the mairie. Among its 2010 projects : the renovation of the former laundry at Beauvais, the installation of a new window in the chapel, a saxophone concert at church in April, financial assistance for the renovation of roadside crosses and the feast of Saint-Jean on 26th June.

On the Committee, the three outgoing members were re-elected : Sonia Critchley (secretary), Margaret Roberts (assistant treasurer) and Raymond Chevallier (treasurer). A tenth member was elected - Eddy Wade. The president is Jean Le Guiffant and the vice-president is Patrice Lefeuvre.
